1. Introduction
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the FCSA Academy website (academy.fcsa.org.uk) and all courses, materials, and services provided through it. By registering for or accessing any course, you agree to these terms.
The FCSA Academy is operated by the Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA).
2. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must not share your account or login details with others.
- Each registration is for a single individual user only.
3. Course Access
- Access to courses is granted upon successful registration and (where applicable) payment.
- Course access is personal and non-transferable.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.
4. Course Content
- All course materials, including text, images, quizzes, and videos, are the intellectual property of the FCSA unless otherwise stated.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or share course materials without prior written permission from the FCSA.
- Course content is provided for educational and professional development purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
5. Certificates and CPD
- Completion certificates are issued upon successful completion of all required course modules and quizzes.
- Certificates confirm participation and completion; they do not constitute professional accreditation unless explicitly stated.
- The FCSA reserves the right to set pass marks and completion criteria.
6. Assessment and Quizzes
- Quizzes must be completed honestly and without assistance from others unless the course instructions state otherwise.
- The FCSA reserves the right to revoke certificates if cheating or dishonesty is detected.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site
- Share, copy, or distribute course content
- Use automated tools to access the site or scrape content
- Disrupt or interfere with the site’s operation
8. Payments and Refunds
- Course fees (where applicable) are displayed at the time of purchase and are inclusive of VAT where required.
- Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase and before completing more than 25% of the course content.
- The FCSA reserves the right to refuse refunds where substantial course content has been accessed.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Course content is provided in good faith for educational purposes.
- The FCSA does not guarantee that course content is error-free or up to date at all times, though we endeavour to keep it current.
- The FCSA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on course content.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
